Syed Hamad Ullah Shah
Syed Hamad Ullah Shah is a University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA) PhD candidate at the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE), Faculty of Engineering, UNSW. He is working on singlet fission enhanced silicon solar cells via radiative coupled approach. This involves exploring singlet fission materials and utilizing ultra-fast spectroscopic techniques for characterizations. The aim of the project is to minimize thermalization losses in silicon solar cells.
Hamad has completed his master’s degree in Applied Physics, majoring in Display and Semiconductor from Korea University, South Korea. His research was focused on organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and perovskite solar cells. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan.
